4 North American colleges positively impacting the world

As changes occur in our environment and in society, the world can often struggle to keep up. The healthcare sector has never-ending and ever-increasing demands, agriculture faces new challenges as the world develops and the environment is under constant threat.

Education in these fields is crucial to the bettering of the world: both our wellbeing and the wellbeing of our planet rely on these sectors. Marry scientific understanding and an eagerness to research the world and change can occur.

As human civilization advances we create as many problems as we solve. Scientific research into agriculture, the environment and healthcare ensure we stay on top of a rapidly evolving world, creating life-altering solutions to some of the modern world’s most dangerous and time sensitive issues.

With a growing population comes a growing demand for resources – most notably food and healthcare. People are living longer as healthcare advances but that only adds to pressure to keep up. The demand is unlikely to slow and workers – present and future – in these sectors need to be ready to meet these needs.

Graduates in these fields will be ready to address some of today’s most pressing industrial and societal challenges head on. From providing clean water to those in need to weening the world off nuclear energy; there will be a college prepared to help you realise it and work towards fixing it, whatever your calling.

And where better to study than in North America? Canada is one of the largest agricultural producers and exporters in the world and the United States is the second-largest emitter of carbon dioxide, after China. Where great advancements are made, damage is often done, and students in North America will be there to address it when it is.
