“Digital technologies shape all areas of life and create both great opportunities and unforeseeable risks,” said associate professor Thomas Olsson of Tampere University.

“Therefore, the programme is all about envisioning more sustainable and acceptable forms of digitality, building on an interdisciplinary understanding of both social sciences and technology design.”

Whether we’re communicating, playing or creating, our modern existence is shaped by digital technologies. This first-of-its-kind, two-year postgraduate programme facilitates the study of long-term structural change in digital, social systems with the aim of maintaining solidarity.
