From the medieval grandeur of the Old Town to the sweeping elegance of the Georgian New Town, Scotland’s historic capital city of Edinburgh has reason to celebrate as the TripAdvisor’s 2017 Travellers’ Choice rankings have today been revealed.

Edinburgh has made it into the top 20 destinations in Europe, coming an impressive second in the UK’s top destinations. The city just missed out on the sought-after top spot to London, the region’s iconic capital.

Not only is it a wonderful city to visit, but Edinburgh is also an inspiring setting for university students worldwide. The city is home to four excellent universities: the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Napier University, Heriot Watt University and Queen Margaret University. As such, the city is known to host a thriving student scene that continues to grow year after year.

With two beautiful residences already available to Edinburgh students, Collegiate AC, the UK’s leading luxury student accommodation provider, has revealed a new offering at the heart of this diverse city. Buccleuch Street benefits from a range of high-quality facilities, including a private gym, an in-house cinema, a games and common room plus various workrooms, high-speed broadband and Wi-Fi throughout the building.

Heriberto Cuanalo, CEO of Collegiate AC, is delighted to be increasing the company’s Edinburgh portfolio as increasing numbers of students seek homes within this stunning city. He comments:

“It’s not hard to understand why Edinburgh continues to rank highly with visitors as there really is something for everyone, and this vibrant city is fast becoming a favourite amongst both UK and international students alike. We are thrilled to be able to offer students another opportunity for a luxurious living experience, close to the University, complete with an array of additional amenities.”

Just a short walk from The University of Edinburgh and the city’s wondrous Old Town, Buccleuch Street is perfectly located with residents close to local cafes, bars and other amenities. Divided into brand new studio or four-bed apartments, all are stylish and comfortable with many rooms being blessed with an outstanding view over the Meadows and Pentland Hills. From £217 per week, each room boasts a spacious double bed, en-suite bathroom and plenty of storage space with a mix of private and shared kitchen facilities.

Another of Collegiate AC’s residences in Edinburgh is Gateway Apartments offering a range of premier studios and rooms. The winner of the prestigious RICS Scotland Residential Award in 2014, a showcase of the most inspirational regional developments in land, property, construction and the environment throughout the UK, the project presents a cutting-edge, design-led student experience. Set in a peaceful and elegant enclave, within walking distance of all the main colleges and university campuses, Gateway Apartments are well-served by a variety of retail outlets creating an almost ‘village’ feel about the area, whilst offering convenient access to transport links and central Edinburgh.
