A good internship will provide the necessary work experience to enhance what you learn. The highest paying internships not only grant you the opportunity to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry but also compensate well. In some cases, staggeringly so.

If you plan to land one of these, consider studying in the US. It’s home to companies like Roblox, an online gaming platform, where interns receive a median monthly pay of US$9,667, according to data released by Glassdoor.

Glassdoor’s list of the 25 highest paying internships in the US analyses all internship reports from current or former interns in the country between Feb. 14, 2021 and Feb. 13, 2022 to identify the companies with the highest median monthly base pay. 4 highest paying internships in the US: Companies to consider

1. Roblox

Median monthly pay: US$9,667

Roblox is not just an online platform where users go to play games. It’s also a company that aims to offer the best user experience, giving interns the chance to join projects that matter to the users and community. You could be working on the voice chat moderation feature or the avatar in Roblox.

Roblox’s hiring process comes in two stages: a coding assessment to assess your technical capabilities and a cognitive assessment to determine skills like creative problem-solving, situational awareness, and systems thinking through game-based tasks.

“Everyone is extremely intelligent, professional and driven to further company goals,” one intern on Glassdoor writes. “Furthermore, many of these employees helped mentor me even though it was never asked for.”
