What does Nexus International do differently?
At the forefront of innovation, every child that has enrolled with Nexus International has experienced an academic venture like no other.
For the Early Years (ages 3 to 7), teachers consider elements of the Reggio Emilia Approach, which puts the natural development of children as well as the close relationships they share with their peers at the centre of its philosophy. This is also merged with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) to enable a balanced education.
With regards to Primary Years students (ages 7 to 11), the curriculum is based on the globally recognised IBPYP. Here, children learn to read, write and build the foundations of numerical and scientific understanding, while also immersing themselves in fun and practical Nexus activities.
Secondary school learners (ages 11 to 16) are offered a modified English National Curriculum, taught around ‘Big Ideas’ or concepts in Years 7-9. Year 10 and 11 students, on the other hand, follow an extensive range of courses that prepare them for their IGCSE examinations.
Finally, in Years 12 and 13 (ages 16 to 19), learners follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). By completing this course, students graduate from Nexus with an internationally-accepted qualification and enter top universities and further education institutions worldwide.

From that moment on, the project sparked a passion for organic produce and empowered Nexus students to build their own Vertical Farm at school. The children have now established their own organic farmers market to sell the produce and all proceeds go to buying new solar panels for the school!

Another example of innovative technology that learners are exposed to at Nexus is the use of augmented reality apps. To better understand biology, students were able to dig deeper into the realms of human anatomy by using an iPad to look at separate structures and to see how they work in correlation to each other.
