As international students, there is plenty of preparation that goes behind studying abroad. But sometimes, mishaps happen. From missing deadlines for university applications to even obtaining your visa on time before your flight, the worst-case scenario is re-applying for the next intake. 

In the UK, most university applications close before the start of a new academic year in September. However, there’s a silver lining for those who missed the deadline for the recent intake. Below are eight universities that are accepting 2023 applications within the first quarter of the year. 

Queen Mary University of London

Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is one of the 24 leading world-class research institutes in the UK that is part of the Russell Group

Though applications for September 2022 are closed, 2023 applications are open for the May intake. Courses offered are at the master’s and PhD levels. These include International Relations, International Dispute Resolution, International Public Policy and Global Public Health.

Coventry University

Coventry University is a public research university that is recognised internationally for its expertise in health, peacebuilding and agroecology. The university also offers a wide range of undergraduate programmes, from Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering to Bachelor of Arts in International Fashion Management and Marketing (Hons)

The postgraduate studies intakes are split between January 2023 and September 2023. It’s wise to check the respective programmes for their intakes and application deadlines. 

Admissions for almost all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are open for 2023 applications.  Check out this list for more.

BPP University

The first publicly owned company in the UK to obtain degree awarding powers, BPP University has four schools focusing on Law, Business and Technology, Nursing and Health. From apprenticeships and short courses to professional qualifications and postgraduate programmes, BPP University offers programmes in various fields. 

Postgraduate programmes in Management are now open for January and May 2023 intake. Courses include MSc Management, MSc Management with Data Analytics, MSc Management with Digital Marketing and MSc Management with Project Management.

Loughborough University

Loughborough University is ranked seventh out of 130 UK universities in the Complete University Guide 2023 — and that’s just one of the achievements and accreditations it holds.

Known for its student experience and state-of-the-art facilities, the university programmes at the foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

If you’re seeking a PhD, you’re in luck. The university is opening applications for PhD positions for intakes January 2023, April 2023, July 2023 and October 2023.

University of Dundee

Located in Scotland, the University of Dundee’s core purpose is to transform lives by working locally and globally through the application of knowledge.
